Today was a great day for our Community! Many hands make light work!!
Our neighbor that needed our help is an Army Veteran and I am proud that we were able just to give back a little. Little things matter and it is a great sense of community for sure. I want to acknowledge Denise Booker and her family for getting the ball rolling with the project. I especially want to thank all of the kids that helped out today. Their help was a huge part of the entire morning and I am proud to know that they are a part of our community! We are working on creating a letterhead where we can acknowledge their community service hours. Also, a big thank you to the neighbors that were unable to make it today but still dropped off leaf bags to help out. They were very much needed!Â
On a final note, we have created a bank account and also a venmo account for the B-Section neighborhood association. As I said, this is not an obligation at all but if you would like to contribute at this point, the money will be going towards our website and any publications put out to the neighborhood. I will be working on a newsletter, as mentioned at the last meeting. The newsletter will be posted on our website, but will also go in everyone's mailbox for those not visiting the website. Funds will also be put aside for the eventual neighborhood signs and plantings that I have been talking about.Â
For contributions, it will be check or venmo only - NO cash. All funds will be recorded by our treasurer and CFO, Chris Ciminiello, 17 Bucknell Ln.
Venmo is @Chris-Ciminiello, please use your address and last name in description. QR-Code image is below.
or drop check in mailbox at 17 Bucknell, Check made out to Chris Ciminiello, with a note for your address and last name.Â
Again, the suggested donation is $50 but it can be whatever you feel appropriate.Â
Finally, here is a link to a video I put together from today's work party.
